Local ghost tour guide and gaming live streamer Mica Webb is planning an epic night of gaming to be held on Aug. 16 from 6-9 p.m. at Eclipse bar on Congress St.  The event is called ‘Foxy’s Gamer Lounge,’ and Webb expects it to be ‘the best night of gaming Savannah has ever seen.’ While open to gamers from all walks of life, the event will cater to alternative crowds, particularly goths and the queer community. Webb is planning an inclusive atmosphere where gamers can come together and enjoy good music, tasty food, themed-drinks and, of course, great games.

Capcom is offering a free trial of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition for all PS4 and PS5 players for a period of two weeks until August 14. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has debuted in first place on the Switzerland charts, according to SwissCharts.com for the 30th week of 2022.

There were two other new titles in the top 10 this week. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge debuted in seventh place and Digimon Survive debuted in ninth place.

Gran Turismo 7 re-entered the top 10 in third place, while Nintendo Switch Sports remained in fourth place.

Cross-platform play is coming to F1 22 this month beginning with two open-to-the-public tests over the next two weekends, with full integration coming at the end of August.
The tests will run Friday, Aug. 5 to Sunday, Aug. 7 and Friday Aug. 12 to Sunday, Aug. 14. Players may compete in the Social Race and Two-Player Career modes across all platforms — PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

After being leaked, Square Enix confirms that it will arrive on PC, PS4, PS5 and Nintendo Switch this November.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn is a reality. As you can see with the trailer that appears on these lines, Square Enix has made the return of the saga of tactical RPGs to PC and consoles official after its launch had been leaked a few days ago with images and a confirmed date.

The company has set the title’s release date for November 11, 2022, when it will arrive on four different platforms. It will be available on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch with a new version of the simulation role-playing title that was released more than a decade ago with a PSP edition.

Techland announced that the PS5 version of Dying Light 2 will receive support for the Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and the ‘Balanced’ mode with the next game update.

We don’t have a release date for the update yet, but Techland has shared teasers about the upcoming content, posting information on Twitter. The developer has promised that it will share more details in the coming weeks, so expect to learn more about these modes shortly.

The aforementioned Balanced mode will aim for dynamic 4K at 60 frames per second, while VRR mode will support 1080p at an unlocked frame rate.
